Ümit KİLER

Ümit Kiler was born in Bitlis in 1970. After completing his primary and secondary education in Bitlis, he finished high school in Istanbul. Later, he graduated from Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema.

Ümit Kiler has taken an active role since the establishment of his companies in the food retail sector, which is the first commercial venture of the Kiler Family. After making various partnerships in the retail sector of Kiler, Kiler Shopping Services and Trade A.Ş., which he founded in 1994. As the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, he pioneered the growth of the company and its becoming one of the largest food retail companies in Turkey. Kiler Shopping, with its 170 stores spread over 32 provinces, made its public offering as Turkey's first local capitalized food retail company that went public in 2011. After the company grew even more, before its transfer to CarrefourSA A.Ş. It has become an important player in the sector with more than 1 billion employees and an annual turnover of more than 1 Billion TL. Ümit Kiler has also held various positions in the fields of construction, real estate development, tourism and transportation and sugar production, which are other sectors in which the Kiler group is involved and has grown, and he still continues his duties as a member of the board of directors in almost all of these companies. Ümit Kiler, Vice President of MUSIAD, member of TOBB, BETAV, BIGIAD and Fenerbahçe Sports Club, is married and has four children.
